Publication malpractice statement
Authors must submit original, unpublished manuscripts to the Iraqi Journal of Agricultural Sciences (IJAS). The manuscript must include proper citations and must not contain any form of plagiarism or duplication of the authors' previous work, The consenting similarity percentage less than 20%
If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the publication process, the IJAS editorial board will reject the manuscript. Additionally, manuscripts submitted to other journals simultaneously will not be accepted.
All types of publication malpractice are strictly prohibited. This comprises, though is not restricted to:
- Data manipulation, fabrication, or falsification.
- Plagiarism includes duplicate publication and self-plagiarism.
- Incorrect authorship attribution, such as gift or ghostwriting.
- Conflicts of interest that are not declared.
- Unethical studies with either human or animal participants.
- Simultaneous submission or submitting the same work to many journals at once.
Every manuscript that is submitted must pass stringent peer review and similarity tests. The COPE principles shall be followed when investigating suspected misconduct, and if malpractice is proven, the proper measures—such as retraction, correction, or author bans—will be implemented.
